GUBC Women finish Head Season with trip to Tideway for Women’s Head
Time Penalty limits success at Women’s Eights Head of the River Race
LONDON – Three crews from Glasgow University Boat Club made the trip down to London for Women’s Eights Head of the River from Mortlake to Putney.
The first GUBC crew place in seventy-ninth place after being one of twenty-one crews punished for being late to the start. This penalty cost the crew almost twenty places in a tight pack of crews.
The second GUBC crew finished inside the top 130, while there was also an opportunity for a crew of beginners who finished in 298th place in this elite field.
