Men’s Four win event at Rutherford Head
GUBC have a successful weekend to close 2022 at Rutherford Head
NEWCASTLE – Glasgow University Boat Club ended the 2022 racing season the way they started it – with a trip to Newcastle for the Rutherford Head. The entry list was a who’s who of rowing within the north of Britain, with the notable addition of the University of London.
In the first division there were fourth and fifth placed finishes within categories, as the men’s eight finished fourteenth overall while the women raced in coxed fours.
The second division was roles reversed as it was the women’s turn to race the eight as they placed third in Band 2 and ninth overall, while the men’s first coxed four would win the Band 2 in their event.
