GUBC open season with strong wins at Clyde Threes
GUBC open campaign with fastest times on home water
GLASGOW – Glasgow University Boat Club started the season on home water at the Clyde Three Seas this weekend, winning a number of events.
In the first division of racing, the men’s eight set a course record over the 3 kilometre course on the Clyde, while the women’s eight too set a strong time to win their event.
In the second division, the men’s coxed fours went one-two, while the pair of Xander Beeson and Lachlan Mackinnon set a time in the pairs that would have been competitive in the doubles. The women’s come four were also the fastest in their event.
