Laura earns first GB vest at World Rowing Beach Sprints Final
Glasgow University Boat Club have representation on first-ever GB Beach Sprints Team
SAUNDERSFOOT – On the south coast of Wales, Laura McKenzie represented Great Britain for the first time in the newest rowing discipline: Beach Sprints. Selected after her strong performance at the British Championships, she was name to the Mixed Quad sitting in the stroke seat.
After setting the fourth fastest time in the time trial, they were beaten by a Kiwi crew in the first side-by-side action who would go onto win the silver medal.
