Strong Performances at Rescheduled Rutherford Head
Glasgow University Performed Well at the Postponed Head Race on the Tyne
NEWCASTLE-UPON-TYNE – After its postponement from its traditional late November slot, the 2021 Rutherford Head took place on the Tyne this weekend. A slightly depleted start order took place but GUBC put up strong performances, with seconds, thirds and fourths up and down the results list.
On the Men’s side, ninth place overall in the eight (fourth in their band) was joined by fourth and fifth place finishes in the fours.
For the women, the first division brought third placed finish in both the coxed and coulees four, before they united to achieve tenth (second in their band) in the Eight.
