Championship Gold tops successful BUCS Head
BUCS Head highlighted by Women’s Coxed Four winning the premier event in their class
NEWCASTLE-UPON-TYNE – In a highly contested field, the Women’s Championship Coxed Four of Skye Arnott, Niamh Sheridan, Maia Hely, Laura McKenzie and Thalia Hardman successfully defended the title that Glasgow won two years previously. This performance was an outstanding feat as Maia and Laura collected their Second BUCS Head Championship Golds of their career.
Elsewhere of the course, an impressive 5th in the Men’s Championship Coxless Four highlighted the men’s performance as well as the 10th place in the women’s intermediate category for the women’s second coxed four.
In Sunday’s racing, the beginners got their first taste of racing on a national stage as they placed all three crews in the top ten of their respective events.
